"The World Cup finals will, for the first time, be taking place in Africa, with South Africa playing the host nation for what is regarded as the world's largest sporting spectacular.

The tournament is taking place between 11 June 2010 and 11 July 2010.

The Met Office are providing a weather forecast for the venues of the World Cup finals, click on the weather symbols on the map to get more detailed information on the venue of interest. "

Google Maps users can now find local businesses, towns, highways, or roads. This could be a burger place in Lagos, a garage in Kampala, a hairdresser in Accra or an airport shuttle in Dakar. Any business anywhere can add their own business listing for free via the Google Maps Local Business Centre.

BBC Sport have launched the 'World Cup 2010 Map - South Africa Map'

Use the map to explore preparations for the 2010 World Cup in video, audio, pictures and text.
