A mapping website launched by Bristol city council rates
every residential and commercial building in the city on its suitability
for having solar panels fitted.
The council says that around a third of all buildings in Bristol – about 80,000 in total – have rooftops suitable for solar energy generation.

Most solar panel systems can be installed in two or three days, after scaffolding has been put up.
